Loading FlashOCXCode from a stream

Postby linden45 » Thu Apr 13, 2006 8:49 am

I'm working on a project that uses delphi 7 in combination with Flash. The The problem I am encountering with the demo version is that I can't load FlashOCXCode from a stream. I've tried multiple flash versions and also tried both loading from a resource and loading from a file but the both raise exception errors. I get different errors with the different flash version. For instance : Delphi 7 with Flash resource version 8 raises an access violation and then shows me the CPU thread stats (Freaky). Maybe you can help me out? [/b]

Thank you for your question.
When do you call LoadFlashOCXCodeFromStream function? Does demo
project work properly? Please download this compiled project with
source code, it should work good:
http://www.flashplayercontrol.com/TEMP/ ... Player.zip
Run the compiled EXE without using Delphi IDE if under IDE if you
have problems.
Please write me about results.
Thank you.

I know this is a little late, but I just wanted to respond so people having the same problem might find this answer. At least, I think it's the same problem. It has the same symptoms.

The problem in my case was trying to load the OCX anywhere but the initialization section. I put it in the FormCreate and got the AV. But in the initialization, it works fine. You should probably add something to the sample code that says that.

Yes, you are right. I will add this information to the sample.
