Modifing and save a movie?

I have a sample app that is doing the following:
A slider that moves the movie back and forward
Turn on / off sound buttons.
Read and write variables from the movie.
Change background colour.
Start & stop.

Is it possible to save the new version of the movie.

eg. load "movie1.swf", change the background colour then save the changed movie as "movie2.swf"

FlashPlayerControl.Savemovie("c:\movie2.swf");

As soon as I know, yes. delphiflash.com is still alive. They are working on the new version of the SDK that will include Flash 8 specific features: http://delphiflash.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=274
