Problems in clickable url

Postby GCarvalho » Tue Oct 03, 2006 7:56 pm

Hi,

In the 1.x version of f-in-box's player, clickable url's opened fine in the default browser.
In 2.x they open up IE (even if IE is not the default browser) with a url consisting of question marks.
Am i doing something wrong, is there a new security setting, or is it something else?

Thank you for your question.

If the movie is loaded into IE, what do you see when click on this URL? The same effect or not?

I haven't tried yet with IE only, but i shlould point out that no code (delphi or SWF) changed in my project, *except* the upgrade do 2.x (which i need in another area of the project).

The url on which the user clicks is passed on to the swf as a variable.

May be flash.ocx version was changed?...
Could you send me your swf and small piece of code (or small complete project) for testing to support (at) f-in-box.com?

Both (1.x and 2.x) have been tested with ocx versions 7, 8 and 9.

1.x still works, 2.x doesn't... weirdest bit is that 1.x opens the default browser (firefox, in my case), so it sounds as if you're doing a ShellExecute. 2.X opens IE, which *isn't* the default browser, making it sound as if you're doing things diferently...

We have the latest comercial version. should we use the demo, anyway?

The bug is fixed, but documentation is still in progress. If you need updated version right now, write me to support (at) f-in-box.com (don't forget to specify your registration e-mail).

Thank you!
