FlashPlayerControl - "subclass a hyperlink click???&quo

Hi,
In my project it is very urgently needed that I do the following:
When the user clicks on a hyperlink of an SWF loaded into the wonderful flashplayercontrol, I should be able to detect it as an event or whatever way and stop it from launching the webbrowser. I would like my own browser to navigate to that page.
I am kinda desperate to finding a way otherwise my project is in a serious problem.
Don't know if I could do it with actionscript.
Your help is highly appreciated..
