Maximum size for flash in a resource file?

Postby John Willsey » Wed May 25, 2005 12:03 am

I just purchased the FlashPlayerControl for Delphi and really like it quite a bit.

My question is, What's the maximum size of flash can I put in my resource file? I was able to insert a 168 Meg flash file into one using Visual Studio 2003, but was unable to with another flash file that was 268 Meg. Visual Studio 2003 just crashed and exited with DOS window error message.

Also, is there a better program than Visual Studio 2003 for inserting large files into a resource file?

I'm running Windows XP Pro with 2 Gig RAM.

Thanks.

You can solve the problem by splitting your movie into a several parts and putting each of them into an application as a separate resources. Paste together all this parts at runtime and load the movie into the component. It is not an answer, it is a workaround, but... hope it helps.
