Get orginal dimensions of the movie?

Postby Jim W. » Tue Feb 14, 2006 7:39 pm

Is there an API call or some other way to get the default dimensions of the swf movie? I'd like to size the window to the default size.

There is no a function for that in FlashPlayerControl. To get a size of a movie, you should read the SWF header and extract this info. Some time ago I found this info (SWF File Specification) in the Internet.

Since you were looking for features to implement (yes, I know 3.0 is out now, so this would be for the next release), I thought I'd point out that having a convenience function that would read the dimensions of a flash movie from the header would be a good feature to add. This is a fairly common need when using your framework.
