My application(.exe) will play swf and flv files. If I want to distribute/sell this application, what kind of license do I need from adobe? Macromedia Flash (SWF) and Flash Video (FLV) File Format Specification (Version - is this the right license?

I can suggest you to contact with Adobe.
But my opinion is that you don't need a special license from Adone for such applications, because Flash Player ActiveX is developed for swf / flv playing.
