onUnload issues

Postby ryan » Wed Feb 21, 2007 4:27 pm

I wanted to define an onUnload function for all of my classes (to perform some maintenance operations).

It doesn't matter how I do it,
MovieClip.prototype.onUnload = function() {},

or put a function in my Base class for all of my components
private function onUnload() {}

I get lots of crazy and unpredictable behavior simply by defining this function. It is causing functions like setRGB and setMask to fail, and in one case causes a System.AccessViolation exception which is guaranteed to crash the application. Could this be the fault of F-IN-BOX, or should I be reporting this to Adobe? I can't send you an example project because I can't send you any source code...

At the first, thank you for your report.

To detect where is the problem, import a regular flash activex into new application and test this movie with the ActiveX, not with f-in-box. Please write here about results.

Thank you.

Yeah I guess I should have tested that first... the problem seems to be with the Flash Player - not F-IN-BOX. Thanks for your help.
