I am looking at possibly using F-IN-Box to develop a version of a Flash Media Server app of ours that won't require the user to have FMS installed. We want to be able to run the A/V streams directly off a CD. The key feature is the use of a time control that allows us to fast forward, advance and go back to any point within the audio/video stream. This is a FMS streaming video feature, not available with Flash's progressive download.

The question is, does F-IN-Box support this, or does it actually do progressive downloading?

f-in-box is able to play FLV from any source. Seeking works well: for example, when I load FLV from a file I can seek using netStream.seek( ... );

Anyway, you should download demo version and try it before purchasing.

Thanks. I will look into the demos and sample code, but knowing that the seek function works saves me some time. If it didn't I could have wasted a bunch of time before I figured that out.

Besides, with that question answered, it appears that F-IN-BOX supports everything we need, so I can be more focused in my review.
