HotKeys with Transparent forms

Postby seesharp » Sat Jan 05, 2008 9:19 pm

Hi

its not directly your job to solve this - but maybe you have an idea anyway.
With forms I can use user32 method to register hot keys and in WndProc I can trap a pressed hot key.

This either doesn't work with TransparentForms or I pass the wrong handle to the RegisterHotKey method.

Do you have any idea to solve this ?

Thank you for your question.

What about creating a fake window specially for hotkeys?

Hi, thanks for the hint,

yep this might be a work-around. Does that answer mean, you already know that it is not possible with Transparent forms directly ?

No... I haven't tested yet. If you can send me a project where hotkeys don't work properly to test, it would be great :)
