Memory problem after f-in-box control is upgraded

Postby chchen » Thu Aug 14, 2008 6:22 am

I upgraded the f-in-box control from 3.0.0 to 3.1.1, and found a problem about memory.
When I load a swf file, the Mem Usage is about 26M, but the VM size is very large( about 90M), after a while, the Mem usage goes down to 1M, but the VM size is still 90M.
I use the flash player to open the same flash, the Mem usage is 17M and VM size is 15M.

So I want to know why f-in-box consumes so large memory (VM size)? Actually, if I use f-in-box version 3.0.0, the Mem Usage and VM size both are 27M.

Thank you for your question.

What about memory usage when you open the movie in Internet Explorer?

Thank you.

Internet Explorer will use about 100M. But why the previous version control use only 27M for the same flash?

In my machine, the version of flash player ActiveX is 9.0.124, and it is the latest version.

Compare with f-in-box version 3.0.0, why f-in-box version 3.1.1 has significant increasement on VM size on the same machine with the same flash file?

Could you please upload your SWF file anywhere and send me a link to support (at) f-in-box.com ?

Thank you.

Could you give me your email address, so I can send the swf file to you?

Actually, it is just a simple swf created by flex builder 3. I think you can create it yourself to test.

Thank you.
