Trouble Testing Transparency

Postby JDog » Mon Oct 03, 2005 12:59 am

I'm currently testing your control to see if it will do what I want it to and I'm having trouble with the transparency? I have downloaded the demo and noticed that the version number is not reflecting version 2.0? Is this the reason or am I missing something? I'm using Visual Studio .Net 2003 and the language is VB. I set the FlashProperty_WMode = "transparent" and it doesn't appear to work? I know the Flash file is set to windowless because it renders ok in the webbrowser.

Any info would be great.

Thank you for your questions.

Yes, currently transparency is not supported. In the future release this feature will be added -- but not in the control mode. Another words, you will be able to create separate semitransparent window based on a flash movie. But not a control (when FlashPlayerControl is a child window of a Form).

FlashPlayerControl .NET v2 is available.
Now using FlashPlayerControl you are able to create applications based on transparent flash movies. You can create applications with translucency non-rectangle forms. Use Flash to make applications with modern user interface, make a business logic using .NET.
